Go Vegan on Earth Day!

Going Vegan is a great way to protect our beautiful Earth. Every day thousands of people are suffering due to global warming. According to some reports, our Earth can no longer bear billions and trillion tons of plastic and dangerous chemicals. Livestock industry (dairy and meat industry)  is also the leading cause of air and water pollution...

My heart sinks when I read about plastics inside fish stomach . I feel so bad reading about the horrible condition of lakes, rivers and streams across the world. I cry when cows are induced with harmones to produce more milk. I feel human being are the least compassionate ...

Amma's Kitchen is a wonderful vegetarian restaurant in Cincinnati. During December, when we were going to Detroit, we stopped by Cincinnati for couple of hours.

My family relished good vegan India food in Amma's kitchen. My son enjoyed eating Dosa (rice and lentil crepe) with chutney and potato palya (spicy potato infused with mild spices). My husband and I  enjoyed eating Uttapam with sambar (spicy lentil thick soup).

Most of the food in this restaurant is vegan! On wednesdays, vegan buffet is very popular! The restaurant owner told us that many vegans from Cincinnati love Indian food and often eat in Amma kitchen.  In short, Amma's Kitchen is a great restaurant if you like good Indian food.
