50 Million Vegetarians in China
I'm so happy that many people across the world are eating plant-based food. According to a latest survey, there are about 50 million vegetarians in China.
It seems many Chinese are thriving on plant-based diet to protect wild life. Some Chinese are inspired to become vegetarians because of vegetarian celebrities such as Natalie Portman and Faye Wong. Young Chinese want to stop the suffering of millions of animals by eating plant-based diet, good for health and our beautiful planet Earth.
Our world will be a better place if everyone eats plant-based fare every day!

Recently I made seitan, by following the recipe in Veganomicon. The taste and texture of seitan was wonderful. I also made Caramel-apple-spice cupcakes with caramel-penuche frosting. This cupcake made with tart Granny smith apples was delicious.

The Chicago Diner

I had been to the famed Chicago Diner last week with my husband. They have a wonderful array of vegetarian
and vegan dishes. Every dish on their menu can be
veganised.
I had Burritos and the filling was fried seitan. The
cheese which was made with nutritional yeast was
delicious. I was in a state of bliss while eating the
delicious vegan fare - burritos and the mexican rice.
My husband had Black beans and rice. Brimming with
veggies and grilled tofu, this vegan dish was also
delicious.
The Chicago Diner is nearly 25 years old. To read more about this restaurant
