These days you can find numerous Indian food blogs
brimming on the internet. With a click of a mouse button,
you can view delicious recipes and pictures
from snacks to sweets from Kashmir to
Kanyakumari.
Asha of Foodie's hope recently hosted a blogging event
- RCI Karnataka, and many food bloggers have posted
dishes from Karnataka, a southern state of India.
Visit Foodies hope to view vibrant dishes of
Karnataka. Most of the recipes can be easily
veganized. Use vegetable oil or Earth Balance natural buttery
spread if the recipe calls for ghee - clarified
butter.
Mahanandi, Aayi, and Sailu's kitchen are some of the
blogs with numerous vegan recipes.

Thanks for visiting my blog...ya, i too have been a part of the RCI event and loved every part of it. Waiting for the final roundup now
Dear Kumudha, thank you so much for pointing out new Indian veggie blogs :-) Of course I have Mahanandi in my link list already, but the others are brand new...
True. These are some great blogs.
Thanks for visiting my blog. You have a great blog, too and I will be visiting it frequently!
Very cool, thanks so much for the link. I'm always looking for more Indian recipes to broaden my repertoire. :-)
Thank you for these links! I love Indian food and the vegan sites will be so helpful.
thank you very much for linking these blogs - it's always fun to discover new, exciting blogs out there! :0)
Hi Kumudha! What a lovely blog you have! Knowing a vegan now, I am sure I will start thinking of more vegan friendly food :) If you ever visit San Diego, there is a nice vegan restaurant called SIPZ (http://www.vegsandiego.com/veg/listings/42/SipZ_Fuzion_Cafe_(Clairemont).htm)that you could try out. We are vegetarians and we don't eat fake meat either. But its nice to eat at a place where you are assured that you won't turn up eating anything you don't want to, unknowingly!
Shweta,
Thank you so much for the restaurant info.
It is pretty easy to be a vegan in this country, where is a wide variety of diary alternatives.
Visit Trader joe's , health stores and whole food market to find products such as nutritional yeast, which has be used instead of cheese. Use Earth Balance instead of butter or ghee.

I did not know about earthbalance.
I had not seen it or paid enough attention to these things when I was living there. But I am happy to learn something new everyday. Thanks.
I had read about using vegetable broth instead of oil/ghee, but somehow it was not the same. Not that I am a good cook or anything, so it could be just me.
Yumm those were the cookies we also had when we were young. Ofcourse bakery bought. But i still buy them when i am in holiday in India for nostalgic reason :-)
