October 2 is International Day of Non-Violence

More than a century ago, Mahatma Gandhiji - Greatest leader of India, was born on October 2, 1869. Mahatma Gandhi used Non-Violence to bring freedom to India. Today, millions of people across the world consider Gandhi as their role model. Our world will be in peace and harmony if we try to follow Gandhiji ideas and way of life.

Mahatma Gandhiji led a very simple life. He ate simple, but nutritious food every day. Brown rice along with lentil stew was his staple food. Gandhiji was disgusted with the idea of consuming animal products such as milk. Gandhiji took a vow not to consume cow's milk after he came to know about the cruel procedure - Phooka or Doom dev

Gandhiji had great respect for cows and all other animals. Gandhiji says, "Cow protection to me is not mere protection of the cow. It means protection of that lives and is helpless and weak in the world."

Nearly two decades ago, when I was reading the book - My Experiments With Truth , by Mahatma Gandhiji, I came across a profound sentence. The SENTENCE “To my mind, the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being.” changed my life. I became a vegetarian while reading this amazing book...

Today is International Day of Non-violence

We must be the Change we wish to see in the World

October 2, is celebrated across the world as International Day of Non-violence. On this day, Mahatma Gandhi was born in 1869 in Porbandar, India.

Mahatma Gandhi was passionate about Non-violence. Using the power of Non-violence, Mahatma Gandhi - Leader of India's freedom struggle, brought independence to India.

In India, October 2 is a National Holiday. October 2 is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanthi.

Today, millions across the world are inspired by Mahatma Gandhi. Our world will be a better place, if everyone tries to follow atleast some of Mahatma Gandhi's teachings. Our society will be brimming with peace and harmony if we follow Mahatma Gandhi's principles...

I'm confident that Mahatma Gandhi would have thrived on plant-based diet (vegan diet), if he were alive today...
