Semolina Sweet - Rava laddoo

I recently made rava ladoo, by following the recipe in aayi's blog. I used Earth Balance natural buttery spread instead of ghee.

Rava laddoo are not only easy to make, but they also taste great.

Thank you so much for sharing this.
I recently discovered laddoo in an ayurvedic restaurant in my town. They call them fruit truffles and they taste amazing. Your semolina variety looks great!

I came across this blog while searching for a Vegan fruit cake. I'm surprised and extremely happy to see an Indian vegan blog. In all my years in the US I haven't come across an Indian vegan. This is a great blog and will surely try your recipes.

THis looks pretty neat Kumudha... I normally make them with less sugar and also use milk instead of ghee to bring them together to a ball.
But I guess it could be substituted with soy/almond milk too.

How much Earth Balance did you use? The original recipe says about 2 tsp while I read somewhere that it is better to double the amount of Earth Balance when substituting for ghee.

Thank you
