Semolina Sweet - Rava laddoo
I recently made rava ladoo, by following the recipe in aayi's blog. I used Earth Balance natural buttery spread instead of ghee.
Rava laddoo are not only easy to make, but they also taste great.

Thank you so much for sharing this.
I recently discovered laddoo in an ayurvedic restaurant in my town. They call them fruit truffles and they taste amazing. Your semolina variety looks great!
Looks delicious...this is one of my fave sweets :-)
Those turned out perfect!
Dear Kumudha, where have you been? I've missed you!
I came across this blog while searching for a Vegan fruit cake. I'm surprised and extremely happy to see an Indian vegan blog. In all my years in the US I haven't come across an Indian vegan. This is a great blog and will surely try your recipes.
I've had these once before and they were fantastic. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wish u a very happy new year!
looks yummy. I was looking at the recipe and I was wondering is that a wheat flour?
Thank you for your advice.
THis looks pretty neat Kumudha... I normally make them with less sugar and also use milk instead of ghee to bring them together to a ball.
But I guess it could be substituted with soy/almond milk too.
My fav' laadu, looks perfect for me...
ladoo looks wonderful kumudha. thanks for visiting my blog.. you have a nice blog, very informative.
How much Earth Balance did you use? The original recipe says about 2 tsp while I read somewhere that it is better to double the amount of Earth Balance when substituting for ghee.
Thank you
If you ask me, It looks like it is quite hard to make them. I will give it a try and I will use earth natural
Oh my god, there is a great deal of worthwhile data above!
