Oats and Rice Idli

Idli is a very popular breakfast item in southern parts of India. Traditionally idli is made from ground fermented rice and urad dal(lentil) batter. I recently made idli using rolled oats as one of the ingredients. Oats idlis tasted so YUM!

I followed the oats idli recipe from the blog - Priya's Easy and Tasty Recipes. You should visit this wonderful blog to find so many plant-based(vegan) dishes

I'm sure I will be making these idlis regularly, as they are not only filling, but also nutritious.

Thanks again Priya for the wonderful oats idli recipe.

What a clever idea. I'm a big fan of Indian food, but I never really "got" idli. To me they taste very bland and the texture is unappealing (bland food can be nice, but there has to be something good about it). Maybe I'll try this one!

Maija,

Idlis are very popular in India. You should eat idli with chutney or sambar(thick lentil and veggie soup).

I have had such trouble finding a product for my wavy/curly hair. I have tried everything, and

while some products worked fine, Moroccan Oil is the best. It works in all climates, which is great for me since I travel a lot. I live mostly in a humid costal climate, and my hair doesn't frizz ar fall

flat since I started using this product. I love it!
