Many Jains are Becoming Vegan

Today, many Jains (Followers of Jainism religion) are going vegan in western countries and also in India.  Non-violence is a important virtue for Jains. After seeing the horrible condition of cows in dairy farms across the world, thousands of Jains have stopped the consumption of milk and milk products such as ghee, butter, yogurt and cheese.

Please read these amazing websites and blogs to know more about  Jainisim and Jain vegans...

Vegan Diet is Popular in Pune (Indian city)

My niece keeps saying me that it is pretty easy to thrive on a vegan diet in Pune (Near Mumbai). Many of her college friends are vegan after seeing the cruel condition of innocent cows in India and across the world. And many are going vegan because it is good for health!

Years ago, I read an article - Pune is awash with the best educational institutions in India. Today, I feel that there are many smart people in Pune! It is really wonderful to know that so many Indians are going VEGAN...

Here are some interesting articles about Vegans in Pune...

Vegan Diet is Healthy

Vegan Diet is healthy if you eat whole grains, beans ,vegetables and fruits every day. I'm a vegan, and if I regularly eat white rice, chips ,vegan  sweets and oreo cookies, my health will not be in good condition.

I try to eat healthy vegan food every day. I try to eat quinoa or brown rice with sambar or curries. I eat banana or cucumber slices for snacks. Of course, I do eat vegan carrot halwa and oreo cookies once in a while!

I found few interesting articles related to healthy vegan diet (plant-based diet)
